How the Website Process Works

Here’s a quick overview of how everything will work from start to finish.

Step 1

To make the setup and design process as smooth as possible, I’ll initially create and build the website within my Squarespace account. This allows me to manage the design, pages, and setup efficiently while we work together.

Step 2

Once the website is ready for feedback, I’ll invite you as a Contributor* so you can log in, explore the site, and review everything easily. At this stage, we’ll go through any edits, tweaks, or final changes before launch.

*You’ll need to sign up for a free Sqaurespace account for this.

Step 3

Once the website is complete and approved, I’ll transfer ownership of the website over to your Squarespace account. You’ll receive an invitation from Squarespace to accept the transfer, which will give you full ownership and access to the website moving forward.

At this stage:

  • The website officially becomes yours

  • You’ll have full admin access

  • All website files, pages, and content will move into your account

Step 4

After the ownership transfer is complete, we’ll go through the final setup steps together to prepare the website for launch.

This includes:

  • Squarespace subscriptions and payments will now need to be connected to your own account. You’ll need to:

    • Add your payment method

    • Choose or confirm your Squarespace plan

    • Make sure future billing is connected to you directly

      This ensures you fully own and manage the website moving forward.

  • If you already own a domain name (for example: yourbusinessname.com), we’ll connect it to the website. Depending on your setup, this may involve:

    • Connecting an existing domain

    • Updating DNS settings

    • Transferring the domain into Squarespace (optional)

    I’ll provide guidance during this step if needed.

  • Before the website goes live, we’ll do a final review of key settings together, including:

    • Website title and business information

    • Contact email address

    • Social media links

    • Mobile view

    • SEO/page settings

    • Booking or payment integrations (if applicable)

Once everything is connected and approved, your website will officially go live 🚀
