Terms & Conditions of Service
(i.e. the boring but necessary bit).
Last updated: 10/09/2025
Hello! Thanks for working with me. To make sure we’re on the same page, these Terms & Conditions set out how I work and what you can expect when you hire me for graphic design services.
1. Scope of Work
I’ll provide the design services we agree on in the project proposal or quote.
If you’d like extra work outside that scope, I’m happy to do it — I’ll just provide an updated quote first.
2. Payments
A deposit of 30% is required before I begin work. This helps secure your project in my schedule.
The remaining balance is due once the project is completed and before I release final files.
Payments are to be made via bank transfer.
Late payments over 15 days will incur interest and late payment fees of 8% of the project cost, as is my right under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3. Revisions
Every project includes up to 3 rounds of revisions — enough to fine-tune the design.
If more changes are needed after that, I’ll let you know the additional cost upfront.
4. Ownership & Copyright
Until payment is received in full, all design work remains my property.
Once the project is paid in full, you’ll own the rights to use the final agreed design(s) for your intended purposes.
I keep the right to showcase the work in my portfolio or social media unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Your Role
To keep things moving smoothly, I’ll need you to provide content, feedback, and approvals on time.
Delays in communication may affect the project timeline.
6. Confidentiality
Anything you share with me that’s private or sensitive will stay that way.
I will not share your email/contact details with anyone else.
7. Deadlines & Delivery
I’ll always aim to meet agreed deadlines. If anything unexpected comes up, I’ll let you know right away.
I’m not responsible for delays caused by missing information, third-party issues, or changes outside my control.
8. Cancellation
If you cancel after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.
If I’ve already done significant work, I will invoice for additional time spent (worked out from my hourly rate (£15p/h) and overall project cost).
I may also end the project if payments aren’t made or if the agreement is breached.
9. Liability
I’ll do my best to deliver designs that meet your needs, but I can’t guarantee specific business results (like increased sales).
It’s your responsibility to double-check all final files before publishing or printing.
