Terms & Conditions

(The boring but important bit)

Thanks for choosing to work with Cobalt & Blush. These Terms & Conditions explain how I work and what you can expect when you hire me for graphic design services. They're here to keep everything clear, fair and straightforward for both of us.

1. Scope of Work

  • I'll provide the design services outlined in your quotation or project proposal.

  • If you'd like to add anything along the way, that's absolutely fine! Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately before it begins.

2. Payments

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required before any design work begins. This secures your project in my schedule.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project and before final files are supplied.

  • Payments should be made via bank transfer unless agreed otherwise.

  • Invoices are payable within 15 days of issue.

  • Late payments may incur statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.

3. Revisions

  • Most projects include up to three rounds of revisions, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Additional revisions or changes beyond the agreed scope may incur extra charges, which will always be discussed before any further work takes place.

4. Ownership & Copyright

  • All concepts, drafts and design work remain the intellectual property of Cobalt & Blush until full payment has been received.

  • Once payment has been made in full, ownership of the final approved design(s) transfers to you for their intended use.

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, I reserve the right to showcase completed work within my portfolio, website and social media.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • To help keep your project running smoothly, you'll need to provide any required content, feedback, approvals and information within reasonable timescales.

  • Delays in receiving these may affect the agreed project timeline.

  • You're also responsible for ensuring any text, images or other content supplied to me are owned by you or appropriately licensed for use.

6. Confidentiality

  • Any confidential information shared during the project will be treated with care and won't be shared with third parties without your permission, unless required by law.

  • Your personal information will only be used for the purpose of completing your project and managing our working relationship.

7. Deadlines & Delivery

  • I'll always do my best to meet agreed deadlines and will keep you informed if anything changes.

  • Project timescales may be extended where delays occur due to late feedback, missing content, changes to the agreed brief or circumstances outside either party's control.

8. Cancellation

  • If you decide to cancel your project after work has begun, your deposit is non-refundable.

  • Where significant work has already been completed beyond the value of the deposit, I reserve the right to invoice for time already spent on the project.

  • I also reserve the right to pause or terminate a project if invoices remain unpaid or these Terms & Conditions are breached.

9. Liability

  • While every effort is made to deliver high-quality, accurate design work, I cannot guarantee specific commercial outcomes, including increased sales, enquiries or website traffic.

  • Clients are responsible for carefully checking all artwork, spelling, dates, contact details and other information before approving designs for print, publication or production.

  • Once final approval has been given, Cobalt & Blush cannot accept responsibility for any errors that were present in the approved artwork.

10. Printing & Third-Party Services

  • Where requested, I can arrange professional printing or recommend trusted third-party suppliers.

  • While every effort is made to work with reliable providers, Cobalt & Blush cannot accept responsibility for production delays, courier issues or manufacturing errors made by third-party companies.
